What is VA/Crotonates copolymer?
VA/Crotonate copolymer, or vinyl acetate crotonate copolymer, is a type of polymer formed from vinyl acetate and crotonic acid monomers. It occurs in the form of transparent solid beads and is mainly used in cosmetic and personal care products.

Film-forming Agent: VA/Crotonate copolymer functions as a film-forming agent when used on skin, nails, or hair. It dries up and forms a thin film on the surface, which helps prevent hair from absorbing moisture and helps it to hold its shape.
Binding Agent: It also works as a binding agent in cosmetic and personal care formulations.
Hair Styling Agent: VA/Crotonate copolymer is used as a hair styling agent in hair fixing and hair spray formulations. It adds a smooth feel to the hair, as well as good firmness and moisturization.
Provides Shine: In hair spray, it provides excellent shine to the hair and good humidity resistance.
Antistatic Agent: This copolymer also has very good antistatic properties, making it ideal for use in cosmetic and personal care products.
