What is Vaccinium myrtillus extract (Bilberry extract)?
Bilberry, also known as whortleberry, is native to Europe and N. Asia. Its fruits and leaves are used. The fruits have resveratrol as an active constituent, anthocyanins, flavonoids, and anthocyanosides. Anthocyanins are the ones that give bilberry a blue color.

Anthocyanins are powerful antioxidants, fights free radicals to save skin from oxidative stress and aging. Bilberries are an antibacterial and disinfectant, so can be readily applied over damaged skin or skin with cuts or wounds.
