What is Ulmus fulva bark extract?
Slippery elm bark extract is obtained from the plant Ulmus fulva, a deciduous tree native to the eastern parts of North America. The extract is obtained from the inner part of the tree's bark and is a light to amber colored liquid that is soluble in water. The extract is rich in tannins, minerals, and carotenes, and is used to treat many ailments, such as coughs, colds, and diarrhea, and is also used in cosmetic products.
