What is Trihydroxystearin?
Trihydroxystearin is a triester of glycerine and hydroxystearic acid. It is obtained by the hydrogenation of castor oil. Trihydroxystearin is available as an off-white powder with a faint odor and is insoluble in water. It is used as a useful ingredient in cosmetic and personal care products.
