Tetrahydroxypropyl ethylenediamine is a synthetic compound. It is formed by reacting ethylenediamine with propylene oxide. This compound is used as an ingredient in cosmetic and personal care products.

- Cosmetic Applications: It is used in formulations of creams, lotions, gels, make-up, sunscreens, and other skin and hair care products.
- Chemical Roles: In a chemical way, it has several roles, such as being used as a solvent, cleansing agent, emulsifying agent, dispersing agent, corrosion inhibitor, lubricant, antistatic agent, and as an intermediate in organic synthesis.
