What is Sodium borate?

Sodium borate or borax powder is a chemical compound. It is a colorless, crystalline compound with solubility in water. It was first discovered in the 8th century AD, in dry lake beds in Tibet. It has a number of commercial uses, such as in the manufacturing of fiberglass, in detergents, as a flux, and in cosmetic products.

Maintain the pH balance of the product and prevent the skin's pH from shifting too far from the normal one

Offer product stability as an emulsifier by inhibiting component separation and allowing for equitable dispersion of components

Used in formulations of creams, lotions, bath products, and other skin and hair care products
