What is Salix nigra bark extract?
Salix nigra bark extract is obtained from the bark of the Salix nigra plant, commonly known as black willow. This medium-sized, deciduous tree is native to Eastern North America, ranging from Southern Ontario to North Florida and Texas. The wood obtained from the tree is considered valuable. The extract obtained from the bark contains compounds such as tannins and salicylic acid, which have medicinal properties and are used to treat fever and headaches.
