So, when combined it brings the qualities of both the molecules individually.
Use & Benefits:
PEG-10 Dimethicone when used on skin forms a protective layer on it since it cannot penetrate the skin. It protects the skin from dehydrating by reducing the loss of moisture from it. Silicones i.e. dimethicones are well-known for providing silky and non-greasy feel, the PEG-10 dimethicone also exerts a similar effect in the product in which it is being used. When it forms a film on the surface of hair or the skin It also protects the skin from external factors like toxins, dirt, and microbes. It is also known to show conditioning effects in hair, the dimethicone molecule slips in between water molecules collecting dirt, microbes, while the PEG provides hydration to the hair shaft. Dimethicone also brings a luster on the hair keeping them untangled. As a result, the hair looks shiny, silky, and lustrous.
