INCI: Menthone

What is Menthone?

Menthone is a monoterpene organic compound. It occurs naturally along with menthol in many essential oils, extracted from plants like peppermint, Mentha arvensis. Though it is present in trace amounts as compared to menthol.

Use & Benefits:

Menthol and menthone are slightly different in structure and if used together can work in synergy. Menthone has a peculiar aroma for which it is most valued. It has a very stimulating and pleasant aroma and so used in making of many perfumes and cosmetic products.
