What is Dextran?

Dextran is made up of alpha glucose units, or glucosans. It is a polysaccharide form of storage in bacteria and yeast. It can also be synthesized by the sucrose fermentation process. Dextran is also used as derivative dextran sulfate.

Use & Benefits: 

Being a glucose derivative it has plenty of room for water molecules. This property is particularly useful in dry skin problems, where it not only draws moisture but also holds the moisture for skin. Moist skin is the main requirement of healthier skin. It also soothes irritated skin. It also stabilizes the product.
