What is Cochleria armoracia root extract?
Horseradish is also known as red cole / Cochlearia. The root is used for medicinal as well as cosmetics purposes. It is native to southeastern Europe and western Asia. It contains sinigrin and myrosin, certain other volatile principles such as pentylisothiocynate and ethyl isothiocynate; Vitamin C, folate, vitamin B6, Vitamin B12; certain vital elements such as magnesium, iron, sodium, potassium, copper, and Zinc.

The root has an antimicrobial effect. It is beneficial in two ways, helps the formulation remain bacteria-free for longer and second -helps skin get rid of harmful bacteria that may cause body odor or acne. It has vitamins and minerals in it, which may help skin produce regenerative effect. It replenishes skin with missing nutrients and certain metabolic reactions can expedite because of it. It may also produce cleansing action on skin. When it is applied to the skin it helps the skin get rid of dead skin cells. It does so by loosening them from the skin surface and detaches it so that it can shed off easily. This effect is particularly helpful in case of skin with blemishes and greasy skin. The extract is useful in skincare, body care, creams, and lotions.
