What is Calcium pantetheine sulfonate?
It is a derivative of Vitamin B5, usually obtained from botanical and vegetable extracts. It exists as a white powder which is soluble in water.
Use & Benefits:
It is observed by some researchers to interfere with the glycosylation of tyrosinase, deactivating tyrosine leads to decreased production of melanin. Thereby leading to depigmentation effects. It is also believed to improve hair growth. It offers protection against UVB. Also, the presence of sulfonates provides an anti-inflammatory effect. So it is potentially used in hair care, sun protection range and skin care products.
