What is Arctostaphylos uva ursi leaf extract?

Bearberry is a low-growing shrub, mainly found in Asia, Europe, and Central and North America. Interesting fact about its name is, bears are fond of these berries, that’s why the name came as bearberry. It is very useful as internal medicine but also has good skin care capabilities. It contains Essential oils, resins, tannins, phenolic glycosides & flavonoids.

Use & Benefits: 

It contains flavonoids as an antioxidant in it, which fights against free radicals, that can damage skin cells, and thus produces an antiaging effect. Tannins have astringent qualities which also help in mild exfoliation of dead layer of skin cells. It is believed to provide light skin tone when used regular basis.
