What is Zinc sulfate?
Zinc sulfate is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula ZnSO4. It occurs as a colorless, crystalline solid and is found naturally in its hydrated form as a mineral called goslarite. Zinc is required by the body for proper metabolism and functioning of the immune system. It is used as a dietary supplement, animal feed, fertilizer, and in many other products.

Astringent and Anti-Microbial Agent:
Zinc sulfate functions as an astringent and antimicrobial agent in a variety of cosmetic and personal care products. As an astringent, it shrinks the open pores present on the skin and controls excess secretion of oil and sebum, thereby avoiding clogging of pores and accumulation of dirt. The skin becomes clean, free from dust and dirt, and helps to prevent infections. As an antimicrobial agent, it inhibits microbial growth and protects the skin from conditions like acne and body odor.
Brightens and Even-Tones Skin:
Zinc sulfate also brightens up the skin and makes it even-toned.
Preservative:
It acts as a preservative, increasing the product's shelf life by preventing contamination by fungi and bacteria, thereby allowing the aroma, taste, and cosmetic product itself to be stored for an extended period. In addition, it protects the product from deteriorating with time.
