What is Vitis vinifera extract/ Vitis vinifera seed oil?
Vitis vinifera is a common grape plant of the family Vitaceae. It is a vine plant with long, woody, and flaky stems. It bears fruits which are purple to blackish berries, commonly called grapes. The plant is native to the Mediterranean region, Central Europe, southwestern Asia, Portugal, and Germany. The plant's edible fruits are the reason for its cultivation. It is used to make grape juice, wine, and vinegar. The extracts and oil obtained from different parts of the plant consist of compounds like anthocyanin, resveratrol, and other phenolic compounds. It is also a useful ingredient in various kinds of cosmetic and personal care products.
