Vinyl dimethicone/Methicone silsequioxane crosspolymer is a polymer of dimethicone copolymer crosslinked to each other. It occurs in the form of a white-colored powder and is insoluble in water. It is mainly used as an ingredient in cosmetic and personal care products.

- Viscosity Increasing Agent: Vinyl dimethicone/Methicone silsequioxane crosspolymer functions as a viscosity-increasing agent. It is used to increase the thickness of the solution, making it less runny and easier to spread.
- Emulsion Stabilizing Agent: It acts as an emulsion-stabilizing agent, providing stability to cosmetic and personal care product formulations.
- Emulsifier Functionality: As an emulsifier, it gives stability to the product. Surfactants called emulsifiers are employed in the production of emulsions to slow the separation of the immiscible phases.
- Stabilization of Components: The emulsifier stabilizes the product, prevents the separation of components, and enables even distribution of the product components when used.
- Application in Various Products: It is used in formulations of make-up, sun care, and other skincare products.
