Trioctyldodecyl citrate is an organic compound formed by combining octyldodecanol and citric acid. Citric acid is a type of weak acid that occurs naturally in plants and animals. It is present in citrus fruits like lemons and oranges. Citric acid is mainly used as a flavoring agent and preservative in food and beverages. Trioctyldodecyl citrate is used in various kinds of cosmetic and personal care products.
