SYNTHETIC WAX
INCI: Synthetic wax
What is Synthetic wax?
Synthetic wax is a mixture of long-chain fatty acids. It is the closest substitute for petroleum and mineral wax in its properties. It is available in the form of small white beads with high heat-resistant properties. It has many industrial applications in addition to its use as an ingredient in cosmetic products.
Use & Benefits:
- Binding Agent: Aids in binding or holding together ingredients in cosmetic products, preventing them from coming apart when crushed into cakes or tablets.
- Emulsion-Stabilizing Agent: Stabilizes the product by preventing separation of oil and water-based components, ensuring equitable dispersion of the product's components.
- Viscosity-Controlling Agent: Helps control the viscosity of cosmetic products, improving their stability and texture.
- Stability Enhancer: Provides stability to products due to its hardness and relatively high melting point, preventing expulsion of oil or gel at high temperatures.
- Film Formation Enhancer: Enhances the film formation of colored products, improving their overall performance and appearance.
