Stearyl methicone is formed by reacting stearyl alcohol and methicone. Methicone is a silicon-based inorganic polymer. Due to its rheological properties, it is used in many applications. Stearyl methicone is a non-greasy, smooth, and waxy substance. It is mostly found in cosmetics and personal care items.
