What is Saussurea lappa root oil/Costus root oil?
Saussurea oil is obtained from the plant Saussurea lappa. It is also commonly called Costus or kuth plant. The plant is native to India, China, and Pakistan. It mainly grows in the Himalayan region. The plant is a perennial herb. The roots of the plant are used to extract oil, which consists of compounds like terpenes, flavonoids, and alkaloids. It has been used to cure a variety of diseases in traditional medicine. It is a light yellow to brown-colored liquid, obtained by the process of steam distillation.

- Fragrance: Saussurea oil is used mainly in perfumes and fragrances.
