What is Cyclohexasiloxae?
Cyclohexasiloxane is actually a mixture of Cyclopentasiloxane (1-5%) and cyclohexasiloxane (95-99%). It is a clear liquid with low viscosity and high fluidity. It gets volatilized quickly because of its very low surface tension.
Use & Benefits:
It mainly serves three purposes: first it acts as a solvent and helps get a uniform mixture, second it is low viscosity to it spreads the product faster and effectively, and lastly it evaporates quickly leaving no residue or build up and leaving skin smooth and soft. It is also non-greasy. It is used in antiperspirant, skin care creams, and lotions, hair care formulations, and make-up products.
