What is Rubus delicious fruit extract?

Boysenberry fruit is a deep maroon colored clustered fruit, plants grow on low and a trailing plant. It is native to Europe and America. Not only fruit or fruit juice but also seeds of the berry are used to express the oil. The fruit is a rich source of vitamin A, E, anthocyanins, and phenolics, whereas the seeds are composed of protein and fat. In oil part mainly fatty acids such as ellagic acid, linolenic acid, linoleic acid, etc. have been found. It also contains tannins and tocopherol.

Use & Benefits

Similar to other berries from Rosaceae family or rubus species, boysenberry has antioxidant properties. It has excellent free radical scavenging properties so it can be used to heal the skin that is damaged by oxidative or environmental stress. Vitamins present in boysenberry can exert all their special effects on the skin like moisturizing, replenishing skin as well as making it look fresh. It is also an astringent because of tannins present, which exfoliates skin making it, shed the dead skin cells. This can help in reducing the appearance of blemishes or dark spots and can help look skin tone more even. It acts as an anti-aging agent by nourishing skin with different fatty acids like linolenic, linoleic, and ellagic acid. It reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
