PALMITOYL TRIPEPTIDE-5

INCI: Palmitoyl tripeptide-5

What is Palmitoyl tripeptide-5?

Palmitoyl tripeptide-5 is a synthetic peptide made up of series of three amino acids- lysine, valine, and lysil. It is a clear, odorless liquid easily soluble in water. Palmitic acid is naturally derived from coconut and various other oils. When combined with amino acids its advantage increases multifold.  It is a highly bioactive compound in our skin.

Use & Benefits:

Palmitoyl tripeptide-5 penetrated deeply into the layers of the skin and activates the tissue growth factor also called TGF-beta. It is required for the synthesis of collagen I&II and fibronectin. It speeds up the process and studies also have shown its ability to communicate with skin cells and prevent toxins to penetrate skin. It mimics the body’s natural defense mechanism to flush out the toxins from the skin. As the skin gets older the collagen production synthesis diminishes which leads to wrinkles and fine lines on the skin. It also works from inside and increases the production of collagen and reduce the effects of aging. It maintains the health of the skin by maintaining its elasticity and firmness. It also retains the moisture content of the skin. Always consult a skin care expert to find which peptides might be more suitable for your skin type to get better results. It is used in recipes of anti-aging and anti-wrinkle creams and serums
