Use & Benefits:
When applied on the skin in any form it revitalizes the skin, by replenishing missing constitutes beginning from minerals and vitamins to proteins and carbohydrates. It has the ability to nourish the skin and body inside out. It has many beneficial constituents that act as an antioxidant. The ROS (reactive oxygen species) and RNS (Reactive nitrogen species) are two damaging factors that can affect the skin right from the membrane, lipids, proteins to DNA level. The antioxidants switch these factors for themselves and thus protect the skin structure from further damage. It also has a good moisturizing capability, because of minerals, sugars and amino acids it contains. It has a protective effect on the skin, especially from hyaluronidase which can otherwise break skin proteins and lead to faulty formation of skin structure such as wrinkles and fine lines. It has many pigments like carotenoids which can help protect skin from harmful sunrays and damaging UVA and UVB radiations. It can make skin complexion lighter by inhibiting the tyrosinase enzyme. This enzyme is responsible for making more melanins- the darkening pigments. It may help prevent cellulite formation by helping with skin metabolism. It is used in skincare, body care, hair care products.
